Nike Women's Training presents the Free Advantage

Imagine your ideal workout. You find out what you are capable of, push yourself to work hard, and reap serious rewards. For all of the quick sharp turns and cuts, swift lunges and hard pushes, the only obstacle in your way should be pushing to do that extra rep, not the comfort of your feet in the process.

Now imagine your ideal footwear. Light to help make you quick on your feet, breathable to encourage endurance during the escalating intensity of a workout, and flexible to allow for freedom of motion with the ultimate support to help you stay strong. NIKE’s design team analyzed these principles and developed a footwear solution that rises to the demand with the release of the NIKE Free Advantage, the latest addition to NIKE’s collection of Women’s Training shoes for Summer 2012.

Meticulously crafted for the six core moves of NIKE Women’s Training, The NIKE Free Advantage incorporates key design details that allow for zero distractions and smooth transitions when performing a push, pull, squat, lunge, bend, and twist. As the core moves that enhance your workout and help you make it to the next level in fitness, footwear that is super light and adaptive becomes critical.

Taking full advantage of NIKE’s Free technology – created out of a deep understanding of natural motion in bare feet, this low-profile shoe uses a featherweight phylite midsole for a light yet durable cushion. Allowing for maximum multi-directional strides, the NIKE Free Advantage utilizes two-way flex grooves across the length and width of the sole to provide training-specific flexibility. A combination of multi-directional grooves along the sole and at the forefoot of the shoe encourages control when performing vigorous transitions such as moving forward and backward, side to side, or twisting.

By applying a pattern of strategically-placed laser cutouts across the upper, NIKE has integrated a technology that enhances stretch and support precisely where it is needed most that at the same time maximizes breathability. With a dynamic lacing system that tightens all the laces together rather than one by one with one pull, the result is a snug lockdown fit that adapts to each individual’s foot.

The human foot is inherently flexible yet stable. Without compromise to its natural state, The NIKE Free Advantage supplies the necessary protection while allowing the foot to work naturally during even the most intense workouts.

The Free Advatage shoes are part of a multi-sport Nike Free collection also featuring Running and Athletic Training footwear.
