Updated Statement Regarding Successful Landing of Gulfstream Plane

Beaverton, OR (21 November 2005; 12:45 PST) – NIKE, Inc. is delighted that its Gulfstream 5 jet landed safely at the Hillsboro, Oregon, airport at approximately 12:10 p.m. PST. We can confirm that the four executives on board the plane included William Perez, CEO and President of NIKE, Inc.; Charlie Denson, Co-President of the Nike Brand; Mary Kate Buckley, VP and GM of the Nike Americas Region; and Assistant to the CEO, Merritt Richardson.

In addition, three flight crew were on the jet including Nike (employee) pilot Dave Newton; and co-pilot Blair Gamman and flight attendant Melody Peters, both contractors.
Nike will be working with the plane’s manufacturer and the Federal Aviation Administration to examine the causes of today’s mechanical malfunctions.
