Leading into a World Cup year, the U.S. Men’s National Team is pushing forward with a take-charge mentality. Nike reveals the new CONCACAF Gold Cup kit, which embodies the fierce determination, energy, and confidence of the team.
The kit features distinctly American design elements: bold red and navy stripes across the body of the shirt and tonal obsidian stars throughout. White silicon printed stars line the shirt sleeves, reinforcing the undeniably American characteristics of the kit.
Inspiring national pride, the team’s mantras are displayed on the kit shirt. “One Nation” is detailed on the left shirt sleeve, and “One Team” one team on the right. A graphic reading “We Can,” “We Will,” “We Are,” is knitted visibly on the back of the shirt and “Inner Pride” is printed just inside the collar.
Commitment to Sustainability
Nike leverages sustainable innovation for its football kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivaled performance and lower environmental impact.
The kit’s shirt and shorts are constructed with recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles melted down to produce a fine yarn.
Each kit is made using approximately 16 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than three billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester, enough to cover about 5,200 football pitches.
Debuting on pitch July 1 in the U.S. vs. Ghana friendly match, the kit will be available on Nike.com.
