Tottenham Hotspur finds itself in the ascendancy, having broken the Club’s record Premier League points total in the 2016-17 season. As 2017-18 fast approaches, Spurs can look forward with optimism and ambition as a young, cohesive and powerful squad seeks to shape an exciting future.
Nike’s first season with the club will see the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Hugo Lloris outfitted in Nike Vapor kits as they embark on a campaign at the highest level both domestically and on the continent. These match kits feature Aeroswift technology, representing Nike’s most advanced performance apparel to date.
For one season only, the Tottenham Hotspur crest – comprised of the famous cockerel motif atop a football – has been enclosed in a shield design. The 2017-18 crest nods to one of Tottenham Hotspur’s finest achievements, becoming the first post-war club to win both the Football League First Division and FA Cup in the 1960-61 season.
In that era, the team’s shirts were embellished with a shield-style crest, and with legendary manager, Bill Nicholson, at the helm, the club sealed a historic league and cup double with an FA Cup Final win at Wembley Stadium. As Spurs return to the national stadium – this time for a full season while their state-of-the-art new home is being constructed in Tottenham – the shield makes its comeback. It harkens back to a crowning moment in the club’s past and serves as a reminder to the 2017-18 generation that its history is theirs to be written.
In both of Tottenham Hotspur’s Home and Away kits for 2017-18, this updated crest features high-performance materials in traditional club colours, crafted to enhance ventilation, increase ease of motion and reduce weight.
Tottenham Hotspur is synonymous with a classic white colour palette. For 2017-18, Nike has produced a clean Home jersey in bright white that, whilst being a part of the club’s most innovative kit to date, feels truly Spurs.
Nike Aeroswift – an advanced apparel technology – is evident throughout the shirt. Engineered knit zones enhance fit for the athlete in motion, integrating a range of different textures to minimise instances of the shirt clinging to the body. Superior ventilation, meanwhile, is at the heart of the design in order to properly regulate body temperature. This is most notably present on the flanks of the kit through ventilation stripes that expand when the athlete is in motion (on the sides of the shirt in navy blue, and on the sides of the navy blue shorts in white).
Subtle text is embedded into the kit, adding detailing that anchors the design in the club’s identity. “SPURS” is knitted into the back of the round neck, where a navy blue trim embellishes the shirt, and the numbers “2017” and “2018” are knitted inside the left and right cuffs, respectively, referencing the season that lies ahead at Wembley.
Completing the Home kit are predominantly white socks with NikeGrip technology for the ultimate boot-to-foot connection. They feature “THFC” on the shin, set below the Nike Swoosh.
Club captain Hugo Lloris will lead his team out in a corresponding all-yellow Home goalkeeper kit, also created using Aeroswift technology for optimum performance.

The first-ever Nike Away kit for Tottenham Hotspur has rich navy blue with white detailing from head-to-toe, uniting the two colours most closely associated with the North London club. In the legendary 1960-61 season that inspired the 2017-18 crest, the double-winning side also sported a navy blue Away kit. The goalkeeper kit, meanwhile, is in head-to-toe classic green.
Like the Home kit, the Away kit boasts Aeroswift innovation, resulting in the lightest and fastest Nike Football kits ever produced. As football in the Premier League and beyond grows ever-faster, Nike is equipping the club with the ultimate kits to keep pace with this evolution.
Reinforcing the sense of club identity imbued in the kit, “SPURS,” “2017” and “2018” are spelled out in the knit of the shirt, whilst “THFC” features in white text on the navy blue-coloured NikeGrip socks.
The 2017-18 Tottenham Hotspur Home Kit, Away Kit and full Nike Tottenham Hotspur collection are now available on nike.com/tottenhamhotspur. The First Team will debut the Home Kit in their International Champions Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain in Orlando on July 22. The First Team will also wear the Away Kit for the first time when they take on Manchester City in Nashville on July 29.
Nike leverages sustainable innovation for its football kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivaled performance and lower environmental impact.
The kit’s shirt and shorts are constructed with recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles melted down to produce a fine yarn.
Each kit is made using approximately 16 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than three billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester, enough to cover about 5,200 football pitches.
Nike Aeroswift Technology
These are Nike’s most technologically advanced kits ever, using new Aeroswift technology they are now 10% lighter, with 50% more stretch than last season’s kits. They use a new, textured high-performance yarn that wicks sweat from the skin 20% faster ever before, while drying 25% faster. The shirt and shorts are also constructed using a new knitting process that integrates single and double knit to enhance breathability, stretch and fit.
Equipped with NikeConnect technology, the jersey will unlock access to content from ESPN Films and Netflix’s forthcoming multi-part documentary, “The Last Dance,” and celebrate national nonprofit Friends of the Children.
