The second drop in the NikeLab x Kim Jones: Packable Sport Style collection serves travel in all its dimensions. While the first drop delivered an active destination wardrobe, this collection also considers the planes, trains and automobiles in between.
Nike Tech Fleece is celebrated for its lightweight breathability and strong fabric memory, which curtails creases. To enhance the garments’ packability, seams are minimized and heat-sealed when possible, rather than sewn. Nylon is similarly selected for its weightless, warm nature. True to Nike and Jones, the garments also debut a fair bit of experimentation: Tech Fleece is garment dyed for the first time and integrated straps with snaps facilitate packing.
“Nike Tech Fleece is something that's a really progressive fabric in terms of development… It looks quite simple, but someone who is into technical details and a bit of a geek, like I am, about products and design, would really appreciate how that's made, because it's actually really a hard thing to do.” – Kim Jones
The five-piece drop includes:
NikeLab Bomber Jacket x Kim Jones: the reversible jacket with neon-colored liner features bonded zippers and 100% nylon fill for lightweight warmth. A detachable cord at the neck allows the jacket to roll into itself for easy packing and transportation.
NikeLab Tech Fleece Hoodie x Kim Jones and The NikeLab Tech Fleece Crew x Kim Jones (men's only). Each top is crafted from lightweight, warm Nike Tech Fleece, which is garment dyed for the first time. Seams are minimalized for comfort and packability, while a strap on the interior of the jacket enables the garment to roll up into itself for easy storage.
NikeLab Tech Fleece Pant x Kim Jones: These versatile pants features the same aesthetic and technical attributes as the NikeLab Tech Fleece Pant x Kim Jones Hoodie and Crew, plus zippered pockets.
The NikeLab Air Zoom LWP x Kim Jones takes inspiration from the 1995 Nike Air Zoom LWP, the first running shoe to feature Nike Zoom Air technology. The upper references the original design while the tooling is built on the Air Max 1 last to celebrate Jones’ affinity for that icon. The sneaker comes with a pair of shoe bags for easy packing.
