NikeLab ACG Gets Fresh Holiday 2016 Updates

When designing this season’s NikeLab ACG collection, Nike designers prioritized three key characteristics — comfort, versatility and weather protection — and considered seamless integration with past and future ACG apparel.

“Apparel with adaptability and articulation is essential when navigating the city,” explains NikeLab Senior Design Director Jarrett Reynolds. “Garments with features like removable hoods and strap systems help you adapt and transform to your environment. Everything we design for ACG has a reason and has to perform.”

The Holiday 2016 NikeLab ACG men's collection advances ACG’s outdoor legacy and function-meets-street aesthetic. Sport style innovations in outerwear include higher collars and adjustable hoods on the NikeLab ACG Alpine Jacket and NikeLab ACG Funnel Hoody.

The majority of the season’s outerwear includes an interior strap system, introduced last year, allowing wearers to carry each jacket like a backpack when moving from outdoors to indoors. A new piece, the NikeLab ACG Scaiter, introduces an innovative “wrap and tuck” closing system for adjusting to different temperatures. The NikeLab ACG Metamorphis Jacket offers zip-in/zip-out technology to hook onto several other ACG pieces.

Paired with the NikeLab ACG Woven Pant, which offers deep storage through curved pockets, the ACG jacket collection forms an all-day sport-utility system.

The NikeLab ACG Alpine Jacket features a three-layer, fully sealed Gore-Tex® shell fitted with an extra-high collar and adaptable hood, which can be worn in three ways for maximum face protection and layering possibilities. Arm straps allow it to be removed and worn hands-free on the back, while underarm zips enable the wearer to easily regulate his body temperature. Five secure zip pockets keep essentials safe and accessible, while draw cords on the waist and hood further customize the fit.
Nike Lab ACG Cargo Pant provides the first line of defense against wet weather conditions courtesy of woven cotton fabric with DWR coating. A draw-cord waistband and ankle zips adjust to the wearer while numerous secure pockets—including back zip pockets and cargo pockets with draw cords—allow him to travel hands-free.
Designed to serve the unpredictable arc of an urban day, the NikeLab ACG System Blazer can be worn in three different ways. It combines a three-layer, fully sealed Gore-Tex® shell featuring articulated arms with a removable hood and detachable Aeroloft liner that introduces arm straps, allowing it do be worn hands-free on the back. Secure zip pockets keep essentials safe and accessible.
Featuring a Dri-FIT wool blend, the NikeLab ACG Short-Sleeve Top serves as a versatile all-day base layer. Its fold-over ribbed neck provides protection and warmth, while two double-secure internal device pockets offer uninhibited access to personal technology, via integrated cord ports. Reflective taping and graphics, including a “Conditions” graphic at center back, deliver visibility and distinctive style.
Adaptable to both the environment and individual, the NikeLab ACG Woven Pant features water-resistant DWR-coated fabric, articulated at the knees for mobility. Bonded hems and back pockets with “zip garages” offer ample storage while a draw-cord waistband ensures a secure fit. Reflective graphic details enhance visibility.
The NikeLab ACG Funnel Hoody transitions seamlessly from indoors to out thanks to a Tech Fleece body tailored with articulated arms and an adaptable hood that can be worn four ways. It also features straps, so that it can be carried hands-free on the back. Zip pockets on the chest secure essentials, while deep front pockets keep hands cozy.

Rounding out the collection is the all-new Nike ACG Zoom Tallac.

Introducing Nike Flyknit to the celebrated Nike ACG Zoom Tallac design, which first debuted in 2003, the NikeLab ACG Zoom Tallac Flyknit delivers the durability of a hiking boot, paired with the traction and buoyancy of a lightweight trail-running shoe.
