In 1987, Nike shook up the sneaker world with the introduction of the Air Safari, a performance running shoe emblazoned with an unexpected ostrich-skin print. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first Nike shoe ever adorned with a print. The iconic motif has since appeared on a variety of products, including the 2010 CR Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II, and now debuts on NikeFootballX boots in the NikeFootballX Safari Pack, available December 21 on Nike.com.
