The Nike App arrives in Japan, Nike Training's popular podcast returns, Nike Dubai opens its doors and more round out a full lineup of ways to get involved with Nike this month.

WHAT: The Nike App is coming to Japan, bringing with it a trove of personalized benefits for NikePlus members. What you can expect: early access to product such as the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%, shorter lines through member checkout, free T-shirt customization at Kicks Lounge Omotesando and more. Those who download the app and make a purchase of 5000 JPY and above will be entered to win a personal styling session at Nike Harajuku.

The popular podcast is back with host Ryan Flaherty, Nike’s Senior Director of Performance. The season kicks off with conversations with Angela Duckworth, Derek Samuels, Megan Jones Bell, Dr. Jennifer Martin, John Berardi, Joslyn Thompson-Rule and Dave Carson, just to name a few — all to help you train smarter.

GIVE SNEAKERS, GET A UNIQUE POP-UP EXPERIENCE

WHAT: Two Nike pop-up shops (one in Chicago and one in Toronto) will celebrate local creatives who are improving their communities through arts-based giveback programs. Toronto’s Nike All For 1 Studio will feature panel interviews, art installations and a customization space for apparel and sneakers. You can donate lightly-worn footwear that will be given to The Kickback, a program that donates sneakers to disadvantaged adolescents to promote creative identity, self-expression and entrepreneurship.
 
If you donate two gently-used pairs of sneakers at Chicago’s All For 1 Studio, you’ll earn a complimentary AF1 customization session on-site. Pairs will be donated to Kicks 4 The City, a local nonprofit that provides shoes for Chicago communities.

STEP INTO THE LARGEST NIKE STORE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
 
WHAT: At over 35,400 square feet, the new Nike Dubai is opening its doors in the colossal Dubai Mall on December 1. Many in-store features befit the store’s size, including a women’s salon area and a flexible trial area that can be converted into different spaces depending on the time of year. There’s a full agenda of special events during the store’s opening week; you can sign up for them here. Plus, there are customization opportunities with sneakers, jerseys and tees year-round.

CHECK OUT THE NIKE AIR MAX PLUS PHOTO EXHIBITION

WHAT: An aesthetic statement upon its release in 1998, the Nike Air Max Plus commands a fervent international following to this day. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the TN, Nike Milan is hosting a photo exhibition that describes the cultural rise of the shoe with work from renowned photographer Gabriele Micalizzi and a special appearance from Italian rapper Tedua.

EARN YOUR PT CERT IN LONDON

WHAT: Nike London and Croydon-raised boxer Joshua Buatsi have created a 16-week course to help you obtain an industry-recognized REPS Level 3 certification in personal training. Eight modules cover theoretical study to practical application and include topics such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, programming, business skills and more, all within a dedicated learning space in South London.

WHEN: Register by December 10. Select applicants will be contacted to complete a full application form, and the final 50 participants will be notified by December 22. The camp begins January 14.

FLOW ON A LOS ANGELES ROOFTOP

WHAT: Get your morning yoga workout in on the rooftop of Nike by Melrose with a 45-minute flow. Yoga mats and water will be provided.
