Home and away kits inspired by the iconic Blaugrana and Catalan Senyera flags.

Camp Nou on matchday is a sea of flags waved by FC Barcelona’s fervent, passionate supporters.

The instantly recognisable blue and deep red of the Blaugrana and the Senyera, in Catalonia’s proud golden yellow and red, are synonymous with both the club and the city – both hang from balconies, fly on flagpoles and are wrapped around fans and players alike in moments of triumph.

The new FC Barcelona home and away kits pay tribute to these symbols of FC Barcelona’s heritage and identity.

FC Barcelona will play in a bold new home kit from Nike next season. The club’s famed blue and deep red stripes will be horizontal, inspired in the horizontal stripes on the Blaugrana flags fans hold aloft on match days at Camp Nou. Horizontal stripes have previously been worn by FCB basketball, rugby and athletics teams, but this is the first time in the club’s long and rich history that the football team will don horizontal stripes.

The four deep red horizontal stripes are set against a blue background, an unmistakably Blaugrana design for FC Barcelona fans around the world.

The Senyera is embedded into the collar in a golden yellow trim with four thin red stripes around the outside of the shirt’s streamlined and modern V-neck.

The inside of the collar features the club’s renowned motto, “Més Que Un Club” (“More Than A Club”), which is also imprinted in large letters on the seats at the Camp Nou.

The shirt’s golden yellow stripe down each flank continue along each side of the shorts, which are in classic FC Barcelona red.

The new home socks are blue with a deep red band at the top, featuring a wide stripe of small chevrons on the calf in golden yellow.


The iconic Senyera flag, so central to the culture of the city and the club, infuses the new away kit, which is adorned with evocative colors and detailing.

The new away shirt is predominately golden yellow, a hue long associated with Catalan unity. On the back, four vertical red stripes on a golden yellow background run from the shoulders to the hem. This design is inspired in the way that FC Barcelona fans wear the Senyera around their necks as a cape in celebration and support, expressing their love for both Catalonia and their club.

The shirt boasts a modern crew neck collar, golden yellow at the front to match the body of the shirt, and two stripes at the back in Blaugrana colors around the neck — a reference to the color of the club’s home kit. Tucked inside of the back of the collar is the club’s renowned motto, “Més Que Un Club” (“More Than A Club”).

The shirt also features a blue stripe along each flank. The stripes continue along each side of the shorts, which are light blue, a nod to away kits worn by legendary FC Barcelona players in the early 1970s.

The new FC Barcelona home kit is available to buy from and in store from May 26.  The away kit will be available to buy from June 25.

While the new home and away kits represent proud symbols of the club, they also exhibit the very latest in Nike performance innovation, fabric technology, moisture management and environmental sustainability.


Nike Dri-FIT technology draws sweat away from the body to the exterior of the shirts and shorts where it quickly evaporates. This allows players to perform at their absolute best by remaining cooler, drier and more comfortable.

The laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels in key areas of the kit are designed to help improve performance by increasing air circulation to the players’ bodies and helping regulate their temperatures.

The Jersey is crafted using an engineered fabric that opens to a mesh structure below the chest to help increase airflow and movement.

For the first time the players’ names and numbers also feature an innovative new ventilation system to help moisture management. 


Nike places sustainable innovation at the heart of its kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivalled performance and lower environmental impact.

Each piece of the kit – the shirt, shorts and socks – is constructed with recycled polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to produce fine yarn used to create the fabric. Each kit is made using an average of 18 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than 2 billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester – enough to cover about 3,500 football pitches.

By using recycled polyester, Nike is also reducing the energy consumed in the manufacturing process by up to 30 percent compared to virgin polyester. For more information, visit
