The new Nike Air Max+ 2013 features a new level of flexibility and cushioning, and Nike Korea recently celebrated the shoes’ attributes with an epic experience for runners. On Jan. 26, the brand flew 213 lucky participants to the exotic, volcanic Jeju Island off the southern coast of Korea for a 7K race.
The runners were selected through a unique social media activation held from Jan. 10-22. Prospective runners completed three missions using Nike+, including a "Run and Draw" challenge using the app's "draw the course" functionality. Those who completed the competition sent an image of their efforts to Nike Korea Running's social media channels, and the winners were drawn from those submissions.
Upon their arrival on the island, runners were greeted with a martial arts dance performance and magic show inspired by the key performance attributes of Nike Air Max+ 2013 -- flexibility through air.
After the show, runners ran the 7K circuit through the beautiful coastal landscapes of the Seopjikoji and Olle trails. Runner Hyun-Jeong Park said she was “overjoyed by stunning landscapes along the east coastline of Jeju” and called the run the “best running experience ever in one of the most beautiful circuits throughout the whole world."
The Nike Air Max+ 2013 expands the iconic shoe’s reputation for delivering a "running on air" feeling, with visible air technology along the full-length midsole for maximum impact protection.
