Jordan Brand's Pearl Pavilion: Last Shot Experience
Jordan Brand continues to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan franchise by honoring the fans who have made the last three decades great.
Today, Pearl Pavilion, located across the street from New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, opens its doors to offer consumers of all ages a once in a lifetime All-Star experience. Whether it’s taking part in the celebration of the brand’s greatest moments or stepping into Jordan’s shoes to relive his iconic shots, Pearl Pavilion was created to recognize and celebrate the Michael Jordan in everyone.
During this year’s celebration, the Jordan Brand is honoring and paying tribute to the greatest moments of the past 30 years, all while keeping eyes fixed firmly on the future. The first section of the Pearl Pavilion experience celebrates some of Jordan Brand’s professional athletes who are some of the best in the game.
With iconic photography and a wealth of items from the Jordan Brand archives on display, the Hallway of Greatness explores the brand’s history, the evolution of performance footwear and some of Michael’s greatest moments from the past 30 years.
Not only will fans be able to check out renowned sports photographer Walter Iooss Jr.'s iconic images of Michael Jordan, they will also be able to capture their own customized “I’m not Michael, I am Jordan” images.
Fans can wear test one of Jordan Brand’s four Pearl Pack performance shoes — the Jordan CP3.VIII, Jordan Melo M11, Jordan Super.Fly 3 and the Air Jordan XX9 — comparing their speed against Chris Paul, their agility with Carmelo Anthony, their force with Blake Griffin and their ability to take flight like Russell Westbrook.
Recreate some of Michael Jordan’s greatest game-winning shots, including his 1982 tournament winner at UNC and his remarkable last shot of 1998 for the Chicago championship win, by participating in an innovative digital ‘Last Shot’ experience.
Pearl Pavilion’s retail store will host a curated collection of Jordan Brand’s footwear and apparel releases throughout the weekend. Fans will be able to shop via digital displays and boutique-style installations.
Inclusive of the pinnacle apparel and footwear launching this weekend, Jordan Brand will also release two Air Jordan X color ways, inspired by New York City.
Fans visiting Pearl Pavilion will receive a personal RFID bracelet upon entry. Throughout the space, the bracelet can be scanned to unlock personalized images and videos of their experience on their mobile device via the Jordan.com/ASWNYC mobile site.
Pearl Pavilion will open its doors to the public today, Feb. 12, from 5 p.m. EST to 10 p.m. EST. In addition, fans will be able to access the space Friday, Feb. 13th – Sunday, Feb. 15th, beginning st 10 a.m. EST.
