Jordan Brand, Michigan and PSNY Combine for First-Ever College Football Collaboration

As part of of the University of Michigan Bicentennial program and in honor 150-year anniversary of the school's official colors, maize and blue, former student Dao-Yi Chow and his award-winning brand, PSNY have collaborated with Jordan Brand on special Air Jordan XIIs and travel gear for the Wolverines football team.

Chow, who founded PSNY with Maxwell Osborne in 2007, will serve as the team’s Honorary Captain on Saturday. With Osborne, Chow has helped envision a fresh look for the Wolverines, and (perhaps more important) updated Coach Jim Harbaugh’s style through a one-of-a-kind update to his signature khaki slacks.

“It's great to see a Michigan guy doing well. We carry a real sense of pride about that,” said Harbaugh about Chow.

The Michigan travel apparel follows the recent Jordan Brand x PSNY Capsule Collection. Debuted at New York Fashion week, the 11-piece collection balanced the two respective brand’s sport-driven aesthetics, and in the process introduced a series of new silhouettes. Some of those silhouettes now drive the Jordan Brand, Michigan and PSNY collaboration, which extends the intersection of performance and style that has been a hallmark of the Wolverine relationship with the Jumpman.

“This collab is unique because you’re doing it with the players and coaches in mind. Meeting coach (Harbaugh) was crazy. He’s this larger than life personality. Ultimately him being a Michigan man and coming back to the school, it’s the same thing with me," says Chow. "To be able to team up with U of M, Jordan and my own brand; just building that capsule with my history, that’s something that’s super special to me."
