Jill Stanton Named VP, Global Apparel, and Roger Wyett CEO, Hurley

BEAVERTON, Ore. (9 October, 2007) – NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) today announced that Jill Stanton, Vice President, Apparel, for Nike’s U.S. region, has been named Vice President of Global Apparel for the Nike brand. Nike’s apparel business worldwide is almost $4.6 billion, representing about a third of total brand revenues. Stanton will report to Nike brand President Charlie Denson. She succeeds Roger Wyett, 51, who has been named CEO of Hurley International, a Nike, Inc. wholly-owned action sports and youth lifestyle brand based in Southern California. Wyett will report to Lee Bird, president of the company’s affiliate brands.

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Jill’s caliber head our global Nike apparel team. She brings a passion for Nike coupled with rich experience leading both our European and Asia Pacific regions, which will be invaluable as we continue driving growth and brand leadership in apparel worldwide,” Denson said. “I would like to thank Roger for his outstanding efforts. We are grateful for his fantastic work, and while we will miss him at World Head Quarters, we’re very pleased he’s staying with the Nike family by leading Hurley as CEO.”

Stanton, 44, joined Nike in 1997 in the United Kingdom as the Apparel Business Director. She has held a variety of apparel leadership positions, including General Manager of Asia Pacific Apparel. Prior to her recent appointment as head of U.S. apparel, Stanton led apparel in Nike’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, re-energizing the business and driving 32 percent revenue growth.

Joe Serino, who brings over 25 years of experience in the apparel industry, will become the new Vice President of Apparel for the U.S. region. He joined Nike in 2004 as the General Manager, Global Sport Performance Apparel, successfully growing the business and leading new Nike apparel efforts around the World Cup 2006 Kits, Sphere technology and Nike+. Serino most recently was the Vice President, General Manager, of Asia Pacific Apparel and led this team to exceptional growth within the region.  Prior to joining Nike, he was President of Menswear Design for Calvin Klein and served as General Manager of Menswear for J. Crew.

Wyett brings to Hurley more than 25 years of experience in the apparel industry, including seven years at Nike. Wyett first joined Nike in 1994 and held a number of key senior apparel roles in soccer and Nike Team Sports before leading Global Product Creation. Before joining Nike, he worked in the apparel industry in Los Angeles for 14 years, including five years at Puma USA. In 2000, Wyett joined the Walt Disney Company, where he was Senior Vice President for Global Apparel, Accessories and Footwear, and was later promoted to Executive Vice President for Product and Brand Marketing. Wyett returned to Nike in April 2005 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Hurley. He was named Nike’s Vice President of Global Apparel in 2006, but recently expressed a desire to return to Southern California to be closer to his family and resume building the Hurley brand. Wyett will work closely with Bob Hurley, who becomes Chairman of Hurley International and continues to be actively involved in the company day to day.

Nike has also named Jayme Martin as Vice President of the Americas region. He will report to President of Global Operations Gary DeStefano, replacing Mary Kate Buckley, who recently was named Vice President of Apparel for Nike’s EMEA region. Martin has more than 10 years of experience at Nike in strategic planning and footwear leadership roles. He most recently was Vice President of Footwear in EMEA, where he led an increase in Nike’s footwear business and presence in the region.
