India's New-Look National Team Cricket Kits

India's New Look National Team Cricket Kits 6

Team India will wear the kits for all One Day International games beginning March 2.

Designed to inspire a new generation of Indian cricketers and fans, the Indian National Team kits feature updated jersey cuts with print details recalling iconic moments from the team’s history.

New design elements give the blue jersey a fresh energy. Nods from last year’s gradient color scheme have moved from the front of the chest to the inner collar, though the recognizable orange sits underneath for a shock of color.

“This team embodies a fearless spirit that we truly believe in and that’s what the world sees every time India steps onto the field,” says Virat Kohli, captain of the men’s Indian Cricket team. “This new team kit is a testament to our style of play — it is inspired by us and the new India.”

The new placket construction, flex crest, garment cut angles and slash taping make the new Indian National Team jersey lighter and more breathable.

Last year’s silhouette now has a refined fit, as new cuts, engineered mesh and strategically-placed sweat zones work jointly to keep players loose and cool. For Harmanpreet Kaur, cricketeer for the Indian Women’s National Team, the added features match the club's inspired playing style.

“Over the last couple of years, our team has been playing a more aggressive brand of cricket,” she says. “These innovations like the Slash design help the team be quicker on the field.”

The kit’s inner print takes inspiration from the team’s three global wins in ’83, ’07 and ’11.

The Team India jerseys will be available at select Nike retailers across India.
