With spring in bloom and summer just around the corner, surfing sensation and Nike athlete Lakey Peterson reveals her new Beach Legs workout exclusively for Nike Training Club (NTC).
Known not only for her quick rise to surf stardom at a young age, Peterson is one of the fittest women on the competitive surfing circuit with some of the most toned legs on tour to prove it.
Peterson’s gym-based workout mixes body weight with functional training techniques to help users get the strength and balance needed for board sports and fitness beyond the beach.
The 15-minute bonus workout includes Peterson’s personal drills that help her maintain the leg strength needed to gain speed and keep up with fast waves, and to achieve balance when conducting technical maneuvers like aerials, which are her specialty. This fast and challenging workout includes exercises such as squats and lateral lunges to tone calves and glutes.
During the workout, Peterson can be seen wearing the all-new Nike Free TR Breathe, an updated design to the barefoot-like Nike Free TR Fit 3.
