Get in the Flow with Traci Copeland’s New Nike+ Training Club Yoga Workout

Vinyasa yoga is rhythmic in nature. The poses, and the flow between them, operate in harmony, much like moves in a dance. An athlete’s breath serves as the beat, signaling the change from one pose to the next. Beginning in February, this style of yoga comes to the Nike+ Training Club App in the form of Traci Copeland’s Vinyasa Rush Workout.

Designed by the Nike Master Trainer, the 15-minute studio workout aims to appeal to both yoga veterans and beginners. It includes chair, triangle and pyramid poses, as well as movements such as high lunges. With Copeland leading the way, users will engage in five drills that place a particular emphasis on building strength in the legs and core.

“I’ve always believed yoga benefits both the mind and body,” Copeland says. “I’m excited to share my passion for it with the NTC community and am hopeful those new to yoga will make it part of their routine.”

A Midwest native, Copeland now resides in New York. She excelled in competitive gymnastics through high school and went on to compete in Division I collegiate track and field. Upon graduation, Copeland began taking dance classes as a way to stay active after work. What began as a hobby blossomed into a profession that enabled Copeland to tour all over the country with some of the music industry’s top recording artists.
