NikeCourt legend Roger Federer chases his sixth singles title at Flushing Meadows today. A win will give him 18 overall major singles titles, as well as the most New York victories of any men’s player in the open era.
For Federer, much has changed since his first victory in New York over a decade ago — including his mental approach.
When Federer takes the court for the final, he will wear the Nike Premier RF Polo and Nike Gladiator Premier 7” Short in white with Hot Lava (Nike Tennis' iconic color) trim. The look represents a change of pace for Federer, as he typically wears black for night matches in New York.
Perforation holes on the back of the polo help provide ventilation. As a nod to the tournament, the top hole is in the shape of a star and “New York 2015” is printed on the collar.
Both garments feature Nike Dri-FIT fabric to help keep Federer dry and comfortable. Lower shoulder seams provide a smooth fit.
