Today, CONVERSE Inc. unveils the new Converse Cons One Star Pro, a modern update to the iconic 1970s silhouette enhanced with skate-ready functionality that meets the performance demands of today’s skateboarders. First introduced in 1974, and later embraced by alternative street and skate culture in the ‘90’s, the Converse Cons One Star Pro stays true to the original design aesthetic but is updated with increased durability and comfort in a lightweight sneaker.

Made from durable premium vintage suede, the Converse Cons One Star Pro offers all the functional benefits of the Converse Cons skate sneakers, alongside original colors and design cues that make the Converse Cons One Star Pro instantly recognizable. The sneaker is equipped with a molded Lunarlon sock liner for lightweight impact and cushioning, Cons traction rubber for additional durability and grip, a gusseted tongue for comfort and fit, and of course, the iconic star logo on the side panel.

The Converse Cons One Star Pro Premium sneaker will be available for limited purchase on Friday, June 12, 2015 in Yellow Bird and Black for a suggested retail price of $80 USD, with an inline collection at $75 USD to follow later this summer. Both colorways of the premium suede sneaker will be available at Converse, and in limited quantities at skate specialty retailers.
