Classic Details Receive Daring Update in Nike Inter Milan Away Kit for 2015-16

This season Inter Milan will play in a unique away kit that evokes the club’s past triumphs and its close historical bond with the city of Milan.

The 2015-16 away kit is in clean, classic white and sports a modern update on the traditional black and blue horizontal chest band, a recurring feature of Inter Milan away shirts since the Sixties, and notably in 1990-91.

The new away kit celebrates the 25th anniversary of this historic season in which Inter Milan claimed their first UEFA Cup, sparking an unprecedented run of success in the tournament. In the space of seven seasons the club claimed three UEFA Cups, adding the 1993-94 and 1997-98 trophies.

The shirt's chest band appears to follow Inter Milan tradition, but on close inspection reveals a subtle black and blue tonal print depicting the scales of Il Biscione. Synonymous with Milan since the 13th century, the snake features on the emblems of two of Milan’s ruling families. The icon also appeared on Inter Milan's 2010/11 away kits.

The Inter Milan away kit will be on sale from, and in stores starting July 9.

While this new kit represents a proud symbol of the club, it offers players the very latest in Nike performance innovation, fabric technology, moisture management and environmental sustainability. 


Nike Dri-FIT technology draws sweat away from the body to the exterior of the shirts and shorts where it quickly evaporates. This allows players to perform at their best by remaining cooler, drier and more comfortable.

The laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels in key areas of the kit are designed to improve performance by increasing air circulation to the players’ bodies and helping regulate their temperatures.

The jersey is crafted using a full mesh fabric – this makes up the full front and back panel of the shirt, increasing airflow and facilitating enhanced movement.


Nike places sustainable innovation at the heart of its kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivalled performance and lower environmental impact.

Each piece of the kit – the shirt, shorts and socks – is constructed with recycled polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to produce fine yarn used to create the fabric. Each kit is made using an average of 18 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than 2 billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester – enough to cover about 3,500 football pitches.

By using recycled polyester, Nike is also reducing the energy consumed in the manufacturing process by up to 30 percent compared to virgin polyester. For more information, visit
