September 12, 2019 - Throughout the 2019 season, FC Barcelona will play in teal green — just as it did back in 1996-97 when the club won two prestigious tournaments and Brazilian legend Ronaldo famously scored 47 goals. This third kit, which is loaded with nostalgic nods to Barça pride, will be worn for the first time when the European campaign gets underway later this month.
The teal shade is stylishly set off by a retro V-neck collar, which features a thick Blaugrana trim, and sleeves with a dark blue trim. Meanwhile, the club’s hallowed status at the heart of Catalonia is celebrated through an all-over, diamond-shaped jacquard pattern, inspired by Barcelona’s coat of arms.
“When you see this color, you think of Ronaldo, Guardiola, Stoichkov, Luis Enrique…so many great players” says Barça center-back Gerard Piqué. “It will be a pleasure to wear this kit and bring our fans joy with victories both at home and abroad."
The club crest leaps from the chest thanks to an elevated trim, and the ’90s nostalgia is cranked up with the Nike Futura logo. Teal shorts and socks complete the head-to-toe look, with the shorts boasting dark blue detailing and the socks topped with a Blaugrana trim.
“Given Barcelona’s incredible archive of kits, it was great fun merging their iconic ’90s identity with the modern Nike aesthetic,” says Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director. “The color itself conjures so many memories, while the collar and the jacquard pattern make this kit both nostalgic and highly original at the same time.”
The kit releases September 13.
April 09, 2019 - In 1919, Brasil hosted the first edition of Copa America. Wearing a white kit, the team made history that year by winning the tournament at home and starting a journey of victories that transformed Brazilian football into a national icon.
Merging the early-1920s vintage feel of football with the modern style of contemporary sport, the special-edition Copa America jersey celebrates the 100th anniversary of that energetic moment.
White pays tribute to the historic 1919 trophy. A classic polo neck, player numbers and details on the sleeves are blue.
The Brazilian National Team will debut the 2019-20 Brasil Copa America 100th Anniversary Jersey as part of a special uniform at the first match of the tournament.
April 04, 2019 - The New York Jets unveiled their new uniforms tonight at Gotham Hall in New York City. The three versions keep the Nike Vapor Untouchable chassis and get a modern upgrade for the franchise’s 60th season. Here are five updates to look out for:
1. A bolder green
Home, away and alternate uniforms include a green that was exclusively developed for the Jets. Also new is an all-black base for the alternate uniforms (it's the first you'll see the color since being removed from the team's palette before the 1998 season).
2. New logos
Three new logos (including “Jets” lettering on the helmets without the oval frame or the "NY" type) will appear on the team’s helmets, fan gear and related memorabilia.
3. "New York" reads on the chest
It’s the first time in team history that the city name appears on the uniform.
4. Bold, angular stripes
A new linear design, reminiscent of a jet’s flight trail, runs across the shoulders and down the pant leg. They're more than just looks: The stripes on the shoulder pads meet at the vented grille neckline for improved cooling during play.
5. Updated numbers and font
The jersey’s previous font has been updated to a new, custom typeface with sloped angles intended to evoke a feeling of motion and force.
Fan jerseys are available now on nike.com and at Nike SoHo and Nike House of Innovation.
March 25, 2019 - During its six-year-long partnership with Nike, Manchester City has won six major trophies.
This limited-edition Nike x Manchester City celebrates that streak by pulling from nine of the period's iconic looks, including the 2017-18 centurion season home shirt in which the club broke the Premier League points tally record, and the third shirt from the 2013-14 domestic double winning campaign.
The shirt will be worn for the remaining fixtures.
