Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%

April 18, 2017 - This is the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%, the shoe that crossed the finish line first in Boston yesterday — twice. Nike athletes Geoffrey Kirui, Galen Rupp and Suguru Osako took first, second and third in the men’s elite field, while Edna Kiplagat earned first and Jordan Hasay nabbed third in the women’s race all wearing versions of this shoe.

The Zoom Vaporfly 4% pairs a Nike ZoomX midsole (for responsive cushioning) with a full-length carbon plate (intended to minimize energy loss during toe bend without increasing demand for the calf). Together, these features can make runners up to four percent more efficient than Nike’s previous fastest marathon shoe.

The Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% will be available June 8 on nike.com and at select retailers.

Nike Air Max Zero Ultra

March 28, 2016 - Last year Nike released the Air Max Zero, Tinker Hatfield's original Air Max design, which eventually became the Nike Air Max 1. Though the idea for the shoe was put to paper 29 years ago, its first real-life manifestation incorporated nearly three decades of Nike Air innovation. It may not have been the first Nike Air Max, but without it, the Nike Air Max 1 would not exist.

The Nike Air Max Zero Ultra returns March 28 in yellow with lightweight Ultra tooling at Nike.com.
