August 30, 2019 - The LeBron James x John Elliott Icon QS originates from the collaborative partnership between James, Elliott and Nike. Tipped off by an exclusive LeBron Soldier X in 2016, and crystalized with a fully formed collection featuring the Icon QS in 2018, the three-part collaboration focuses attention on creating versatile pieces that work in a range of environments, from business meetings to travel. Featuring the midsole tooling of the LEBRON 8, the LeBron James x John Elliott Icon QS exemplifies the effort with muted colorways punctuated by translucent panels.
Following the release of the black version in May, white and fuchsia colorways of the Icon QS release September 13 via Elliott's channels and September 14 via Nike. The tan colorway of the Icon QS arrives October 9.
October 16, 2019 - Nike ACG is designed to withstand the environment across all elements. The all-conditions gear, created and tested in Oregon, returns to ensure warmth and weather-proofing during the winter season.
A new shoe to the ACG collection is the Zoom Terra Zaherra. This Zoom Air plus Nike React combination shoe features webbing across the upper to ensure the foot is locked for any movement, while a stretch bootie collar keeps the elements out.
The ACG Winter 2019 apparel and footwear collection releases October 25.
October 14, 2019 - Nike SB's limited-edition Dunk Lo "Night of Mischief" screams Halloween with holiday-themed elements including Jack-o'-lantern perforations on the orange leather vamp, purple web detailing and the words "Trick" and "Treat" on the left and right heel.
The shoe drops October 19 on SNKRS and in select skate shops across North America.
Update: The Dunk Lo "Night of Mischief" is available in North America in select skate shops and releases globally on SNKRS and at select skate shops on October 31.
October 13, 2019 - The sixth installment in Odell Beckham Jr.'s 2019 pregame cleat collection is a send up to the Air Force 1 wheat colorway. Inspired by the wide receiver's favorite Nike shoes, the Week 6 Nike Vapor Untouchable Pro 3 OBJ Uptempo Cleat employs a clean and classic aesthetic throughout.
The cleat will appear during pregame of the Cleveland Browns' October 13 home game against the Seattle Seahawks.
October 09, 2019 - Much like its moniker, Ambush, founder Yoon Ahn’s first collaboration with Converse capitalizes on the element of surprise with new takes on two classic sport styles: the Converse Chuck 70 and Pro Leather.
Both are reconceived with inspiration from the Extreme Cold Weather Boot, a rubber military boot produced by Converse in the 1950s, to bring Ambush’s signature exaggerated styling to the traditionally canvas and leather silhouettes.
With its heightened platform midsole, the Chuck 70 is clad with embellished rubber layering. The shoe’s coconut-milk colored rubberized upper features matte detailing, a gusseted tongue for stability and insulation and matching laces for a monochromatic expression.
The collection sees Ahn become one of the first designers to completely rework the Pro Leather. She transforms the classic basketball shoe by employing a black rubberized upper with tonal 3D Converse Star Chevron logo, gusseted tongue and monochromatic black laces. The look is sharpened by cyber yellow instructional Ambush branding on the elevated heel.
Converse x Ambush is available October 19 at converse.com and select retailers.
October 07, 2019 - Odell Beckham Jr.'s Week 5 pregame warmup cleat is inspired by the many animal print colorways to appear as Nike PEs. OBJ’s Nike Vapor Untouchable Pro 3 pays tribute to the wildly popular takes on animal colorways with a zebra-and-cheetah combo print, in addition to red Nike logo accents throughout.
The cleat will appear during pregame of the Cleveland Browns’ October 7 away game against the San Francisco 49ers.
October 07, 2019 - Converse's second iteration of its seasonal cold weather collection employs a series of utility footwear with technical materials needed to protect during the winter months, and style is certainly not sacrificed for utility.
The collection is highlighted by the Chuck Taylor MC18, introduced to consumers last year and inspired by the Extreme Cold Weather Boot (a military rubber boot once produced by Converse in the 1950s). The seasonal installment also sees the reintroduction of the Bosey silhouette into the Converse line-up, marked with a rugged toe guard from the 1940s and reinterpreted to provide added traction and protection today. Rounding out the offering is the Chuck Taylor All Star (CTAS) Lugged Winter women’s shoe, which features a lugged outsole, GORE-TEX inner bootie and soft fleece lining.
The Chuck Taylor MC18 and Bosey MC will be available globally from Converse.com November 7, while the Chuck 70 Bosey and CTAS Lugged Winter, along with other seasonal Converse styles, are available now on Converse.com.
October 03, 2019 - Experimentation in young athlete footwear has existed at Nike since the 1970s. At various times, the company's designers have worked to find solutions that allow children's feet to grow and be strong in the transition from crawling to walking.
A 1980 shoe made by Tinker Hatfield served two purposes: First, the project served to familiarize the architect-by-training with cobbling practices and second, it allowed him to consider the specific needs of a baby athlete.
That shoe, made of green suede with an orange Swoosh, is the point of departure for long-time Nike collaborator Tom Sachs. His investigation of children's footwear is manifested by crib- and toddler-sized versions of the Mars Yard and Mars Yard Overshoe.
"The Sachs studio is a professional athletic team. Our sport is making sculpture. Nike makes performance products for the needs of championship athletes worldwide, and Nike makes our uniforms," says Sachs. "Bottom line, my son, Guy Louis Armstrong Sachs, is on the sculpture team now. He's an important part of the team and he's got his French work smock, his 10 bullets onesie and, now, he has his Mars Yards."
The shoes have a flexible sole and a Velcro collar. This supports young athlete movement and, important for Sachs, makes them simple to put on. "The shoe is very, very flexible and that's what you ultimately want when developing a strong new member of the team — you don't want a lot of structure," he says.
Complete with custom box and the now customary color schemes, NikeCraft Mars Yard and Mars Yard Overshoes release October 9 in crib sizes (1C to 4C) and toddler sizes 5C to 10C.
October 01, 2019 - A partnership with athlete empowerment brand Uninterrupted, the Air Force 1 More Than__ invites wearers to share their voice.
Below the "More Than"-emblazoned heel counter, the shoe features space for immediate customization. Two Sharpies, one blue and one black, are included to encourage athletes to share their stories. This creative license harnesses the power of individual communication to unite communities in shedding labels and preconceptions, and takes sneaker culture's most democratic silhouette and transforms it into a billboard for empowerment.
Additional details include the words "I Am Uninterrupted" on the rand, a double Swoosh and a reflective heel that provides a unique spark to the shoe at night.
The shoe releases October 10 in full-family sizing.
