December 17, 2018 - The special-edition Nike Air Monarch IV Snow Day arrives with an all-white, full-grain leather upper embellished with a chrome silver Swoosh and iridescent outsole — the overall effect reminiscent of a glistening, snowy day.
The sherpa collar nods to warm slippers, and the sockliner frames an imprinted Swoosh on freshly-fallen snow. A pop of orange on the midsole symbolizes a snowman’s carrot nose. Plus, a snowman figure is hidden in the embroidery details on the heel.
The Nike Air Monarch IV Snow Day releases December 18 on SNKRS Japan. On December 20, it releases on nike.com and in select Nike stores in Greater China, Europe and Korea. On January 3, it will be available on SNKRS North America and at Nike NYC and Nike by Melrose.
December 12, 2018 - This colorway of the Nike KYRIE 5 PE "Neon Blends" was created for Kyrie Irving for his game against the Washington Wizards on December 12.
December 12, 2018 - The Ten: Nike Air Force 1 Low follows the theme of GHOSTING, using translucent materials to celebrate the soul of the transcendent hoop shoe. It is available in Little Kids sizes (10.5C-3Y) and Baby and Toddler sizes (0C-10C) December 19.
December 11, 2018 - A four-female footwear collective, made up of a designer, engineer, developer and product manager, is responsible for the expressive new Nike Air Max Dia.
The design (which was completed on an accelerated timeline) of the women’s exclusive silhouette began by prioritizing the last, working diligently to achieve a tapered (but democratic) toe-box. The result was a shoe with beautiful proportion — a nod to both craft and utility.
A deconstructed translucent Nexkin upper (a vessel to show personality through sock choice), low collar and big lift combine to complete the modern look. The four dots on the heel represent the four disciplines that brought the shoe to life — a reminder of the power of collaboration.
The tooling is perhaps the shoe's true signature feature. The Dia's elegant stack height is derived from the team's established goal for the shoe: to highlight the Air unit in the biggest way possible.
With that wish came a ton of questions, including things like what the heel would have to look like, where it would affect the shoe’s design and how to make it look beautiful rather than bulky. It also called for more foam, resulting in more comfort.
Limited quantities of the Nike Air Max Dia will be available December 13 on the Nike App and at select retailers followed by a wider release January 25.

December 10, 2018 - Jordan Brand is celebrating the theatrical release of Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse with the special-edition Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Origin Story. Matching the pair worn by Miles Morales in the film, the shoe puts a twist on a classic colorway by introducing a new upper design and icy translucent outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Origin Story releases in men's and grade school sizing December 14 on Jordan.com and at select retailers globally.
December 10, 2018 - The Nike KYRIE 5 PE "Little Mountain" was created for Kyrie Irving for his game against the Chicago Bulls on December 8, 2018.
The shoe's tongue features a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal seal decal, a nod to Irving's late mother, Elizabeth Ann Larson, who was an enrolled member. "Little Mountain" appears on the toe box, which refers to the Lakota name officially bestowed to Irving in August by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe.
Together, the shoe's details reflect Irving's desire to relay personal, connective stories with different colorways of the KYRIE 5.
December 09, 2018 - Since its first haul (a Nike SB Dunk) in 2008, Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Concepts has held a consistent line among its many ideas: the lobster. There have been a handful of Dunks to claw at it — blue at retail and an F&F yellow, as well as a few variations of the aesthetic on the KYRIE 4.
“Initially, I felt we shouldn’t touch the theme again. It was a moment. We celebrated it. We loved it," shares Concepts creative director Deon Point. "Ten years later, I'm in more Lobster conversations than I can believe. Kyrie and Jason Tatum are wearing versions on the court, Sue Bird in the WNBA, too. It's like this whole movement."
This month, the scheme returns to its original Dunk base but in a new purple makeup that adds fuel to the flame.
"I've probably researched lobsters more than Jacques Cousteau himself," says Point. "There's versions in color variations, depending on the depth of how far a lobster can go below sea level. And, theoretically, there are lobsters in colors that haven't been found yet."
Purple is one of those colors. But that hasn't stopped Point. While there isn't exact proof that there are purple lobsters floating around, if you mix blue and red — the colors of the Concepts' originals — one might just birth.
The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Lobster releases December 14 at Concepts, December 15 at select retailers and December 17 via SNKRS.

December 07, 2018 - For A-COLD-WALL* designer, founder and creative director, Samuel Ross, Nike Flyleather represents new opportunity. The unique material, which is made with at least 50 percent recycled natural leather fiber, allows for an evolution of design thinking while deftly balancing natural tactile qualities with an important reduction in the planet’s carbon footprint. Both properties are on full display in Ross' Nike x A-COLD-WALL* Air Force 1.
"Flyleather is a vessel to refine an idea that was already quite strong," says Ross. "The technology behind it is also connected to the progression of my design practice, my label and, of course, my work on the Air Force. To produce a shoe that carries a sustainable narrative and talks to modern issues is a big thing."
That "big thing" is about bringing products up to speed with the globe’s contemporary needs. "When I first started collaborating with Nike, I had, like, 10 stocklists. So, sustainability felt like something that was a much bigger issue than my own business,” says Ross. “Now, we're at 130 stockists and our consumption rates do need to adjust. It has been brilliant to actually open up that conversation with Nike around clothing and footwear in order to take steps towards becoming more sustainable at A-COLD-WALL*."
The Nike x A-COLD-WALL* Air Force 1 launches December 9 in Shanghai. Subsequent releases follow December 21.
