November 04, 2019 - Kyrie Irving has a special connection to number 11. It begins with his dad, Drederick Irving, who wore #11 during his basketball career; Kyrie wore it in high school and does now with Brooklyn. The connection extends to a metaphor for balance and harmony (1+1) that resonates with Kyrie, and cascades from there. "K" is the eleventh letter of the alphabet; "Kyrie Irving" is 11 letters; Irving played 11 games at Duke University; he was drafted round 1, pick 1 in the 2011 NBA draft and he surpassed the 11,000 point mark on March 11.
With a nod to Irving’s globetrotting curiosity and 11 cities with special meaning to him, the KYRIE 6 will debut with a preheat collection of 11 shoes inspired by 11 cities, including Beijing, Berlin, Guangzhou, Houston, Los Angeles, Manila, Miami, New York City, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo.
The KYRIE 6 preheat collection will be available November 11 exclusively in each respective city.

November 03, 2019 - G-DRAGON, the Seoul-born hip-hop star, didn't always have easy access to his favorite sneakers, the Nike Air Force 1.
"Ever since I came across hip-hop as a kid, AF1 has had a meaning greater than just shoes," says G-DRAGON. "I couldn’t afford them, so I would always pass the Nike store and admire them with my eyes and heart only. For those who loved hip-hop culture, oversized clothes, hats and matching-colored AF1s was the uniform."
Progressing as a performer and blossoming into a worldwide phenomenon, G-DRAGON has made the Air Force 1 an integral part of his uniform. The Nike Air Force 1 "Para-noise" reflects this overtly with a unique upper fabrication that features a black painted overlay designed to slowly wear away over time to reveal a personal artwork created by G-DRAGON.
The artwork conveys a sense of optimism, inspired by the singer-songwriter's vision of a world where the youth are unified through creativity and a free exchange of ideas. For G-DRAGON, art is an important expression of self that pushes culture forward.
"I was made by a culture derived by people from the past," he says.
Additional embellishments include a daisy embroidered on the tongue and removable custom pins in the upper eyelets.
The Nike Air Force 1 Para-noise launches globally November 23.

October 31, 2019 - Camouflage, corduroy, duck canvas, flannel, leather, suede and wool are all sturdy materials associated with hard-wearing, tough products. Mixed together, these form the primary canvas for the Nike Air Force 1 x Cactus Jack, an ode to Travis Scott's Texas roots that encapsulates everything buzzing in contemporary streetwear.
The design blends the fabrics with burlap accents, a reference to farm product and a metonym for resilience and hard work. There’s an underlying characterization of hustle — keeping nose to grindstone — imbued in the shoe too. Scott’s personal Cactus Jack logos from tour merchandise meld with the textiles to form a biographical tableau.
Much of Scott’s youth was spent in Missouri City, Texas, and the small town is called out on the snaps at the shoe’s heel. The snaps are among several details that channel the styling of traditional work coats, along with the corduroy collar, heavy brass zippers and removable lace cover.
The shoe releases November 16 on SNKRS and SNKEARS, and at select global retailers.
