Nike offers cutting-edge performance innovations designed to enable athletes and provide them with the tools they need to start training.
Runners will soon begin signing up and registering to join the We Run 2012 global running movement. To ensure runners are ready for race day, Nike offers cutting-edge performance innovations designed to enable athletes and provide them with the tools they need to start training. With gear ranging from the Nike Lunar Glide+ 4 to the Nike+ SportWatch or the Nike+ Training Club application, athletes will have what they need to achieve their personal race day goals and stay motivated as they push for their longest, farthest and fastest run yet.
Nike Lunar Glide+ 4 Takes the Everyday Run to an Elite Level
Run long. Keep track. Stay connected.
When it comes to running, everything starts with the feet. Innovations live in the all-new fourth generation of the Nike LunarGlide+, featuring reinvented Flywire technology and the innovative Dynamic Support cushioning system. A single-layer mesh provides ventilation and support, giving the shoe a purposeful smooth look, ensuring the Nike LunarGlide+4 can sustain a long run and look good too.
Dynamic cables move with the foot, offering support while minimizing weight and bulk. And since it wraps under the arch and loops into the laces, Flywire technology is customizable for a glove-like fit that helps eliminate the gaps of a traditional upper. Opposing wedges of foam (Lunarlon and firmer carrier foam) provides a gradual transition and a smooth ride for a variety of gaits. A new floating heel clip feature, which is attached to the firmer foam carrier, moves with the foot to help with the heel rolling inward or outward to promote stability and enable our runners to take everyday running to an elite level.
The Nike LunarGlide+ 4 is part of the Nike Lunarlon Collection: a range of men’s and women’s performance shoes that includes the Nike LunarGlide+ 4 (running), Nike Hyperdunk+ (basketball), Nike LunarTR1+ and Nike Lunar HyperWorkout+ (training). Since this new version is also Nike+ enabled, runners will be able to track, compare and share their runs through nikeplus.com, the world’s largest running community with more than 6 million members.
Nike Gear Up: The right gear goes a long way
Runners have access to the ultimate product recommender with Nike Gear Up. By answering a few questions, athletes can find the best products that complement their training. Whether it’s finding the right shoes, the right bra, a complete outfit or apparel for off the track, Nike will help athletes narrow down their options when it comes to selecting the perfect gear.
Runners can now look like the professionals as they train. Besides personal product recommendations, five professional collections are available within Nike Gear Up.
Join the new Nike+ running community
Keep track. Get a push. Stay connected.
Athletes can now get even more out of their runs and stay connected to the world’s largest running community. The new nikeplus.com is smarter, more motivational, and more social. The new Nike+ Running experience motivates runners with insightful and inspirational new features, and broadened access to the NIKE+ community, which has grown to approximately 7 million members since its launch in 2006.
Athletes can train like they mean it with the Nike+ Running App, which enables athletes to map their runs, track their progress and get the motivation they need. Runners can challenge themselves as they set personal goals, earn rewards, play games with friends and share their success. Runners can rally a cheering section by posting the start of a run on Facebook and hear real-time cheers for each like or comment their friends make. With access to coaching tips and tricks from our world-class coaches, runners can train and get the extra confidence boost they need for race day.
"The Nike+ Running experience is one of the most personalized and motivational ways we serve the runner," said Jayme Martin, Vice President, Global Category Running. "We’re introducing a new chapter that will take the running experience to a new level in terms of connectivity, community, social sharing and data-driven insights."
Think less. Run better.
