Nike Unwraps FlyEase For Kids

Last July, Nike and LeBron James introduced an innovative shoe construction called FlyEase, an easy-entry footwear system designed to help athletes on the go and of all abilities perform better.

Nike expands this promise by introducing a LeBron Zoom Soldier 8 FlyEase exclusively for young athletes. The shoe incorporates the signature FlyEase system featuring a wrap-around zipper that begins at the mid-foot and opens up the heel of the shoe, making it easy to get the foot in and out. Once zipped, FlyEase provides performance-ready lockdown without the need for lace tying.

“This is an unbelievable story that we get to keep rewriting,” adds James, whose Zoom Soldier 9 will also include a FlyEase silhouette when it debuts later in 2016. “Kids should be on the move, and we have the opportunity to accelerate that with the FlyEase collection.”

FlyEase was heralded as an Innovation of the Year by TIME Magazine and one of the “innovations that changed the world in 2015” by Mashable.com, just two of the honors the design construction has received. Nike will expand upon the collection in March, adding a running shoe and a new basketball silhouette for both kids and adults.

The LeBron Zoom Soldier 8 FlyEase for young athletes is now available at Nike.com.
