Nike Sportswear x Liberty Collection

View Gallery

Nike's most coveted running styles undergo the Liberty treatment.

Sport and style unite as Nike Sportswear and Liberty unveil a striking new footwear collection. Nike's latest performace innovation introduced earlier in the year, Nike+ enabled footwear is included in the collection making this season's release an exploration of Nike Running's journey from pure performance to the digital future.

To celebrate the culture of running, the collection features four of Nike's iconic running models -   Nike Air Max 1, Nike LunarGlide+, Nike Free Run+ and Nike Lunar Montreal. All are given a bold Liberty treatment but with a fresh new direction. Moving away from the classic floral prints of the previous releases, the new design reflects a futuristic direction in line with Nike’s digital innovations. The graphic Lotus Jazz Liberty print, originally created in 1965, was selected for its modern design to resemble the curves of a running track. Executed in a clean monochrome colourway, neon volt details are added creating a dramatic pop contrast to the overall shillouette.

Making its debut to the Liberty series, the Nike+ enabled Lunar Glide +4 allows runners to track, compare and share their runs through nikeplus.com featuring 6 million members; the world’s largest running community. The running collection incorporates many of Nike’s most advanced technologies including the Lunarlon Dynamic Support system for enhanced cushioning and dynamic flywire. These cutting-edge designs are refreshed, exclusively for Liberty, with the application of eye-catching print and colour as well as premium materials, as seen on the Nike Free Run+ with a detailed woven upper.

First releasing on July 16th, the Nike Sportswear x Liberty collection will be available online at www.liberty.co.uk and within the renowned Liberty London store.

The Nike Sportswear x Liberty will release at select Nike retailers globally on August 1st.
