Nike+ Run Club & Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes Team Up To Challenge Runners

Zoom Pace Setters, a collaboration between Nike+ Run Club and Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes, help athletes conquer the Nike "Find Your Fast" challenge.   

That’s Speed Folks!

Nike+ Run Club has teamed up with Warner Bros.' iconic Looney Tunes to create a squad of Zoom Pace Setters to motivate runners of all levels to go faster and have more fun as they take on the Nike "Find Your Fast" challenge.  

Part of the greater Nike "Find Your Fast" campaign, the challenge encourages athletes to train together with Nike+ Run Club on the way to achieving their fastest mile. The eight-week challenge was developed by expert Nike+ Run Club coaches and includes workouts, music and tips to help runners run the distance faster. The final day, or finish line, on August 30 is anticipated to be the fastest day in Nike+ history. Notably, Nike will turn Nike+ miles into dollars by donating to organizations around the world that encourage kids to be physically active.  

The Zoom Pace Setters

To keep runners motivated throughout their eight-week journey, the Zoom Pace Setters — Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Sylvester, Tweety, Daffy, Taz, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner — will set the pace and provide tips and challenges, including three types of workouts based on speed, endurance and recovery.

There is also a tune-inspired Nike+ Run Club Spotify playlist created to increase speed at the beginning, middle and end of a run.

Week one of the training program kicked off July 5 with Bugs Bunny. The rascally rabbit got runners moving and introduced them to speed on the track.

Ehh, What’s up, Doc? I hear you wanna run a faster mile. This week you’re going to ease into your workouts, learn more about speed training and create a good, solid base.

Hi, I’m Lola, your new favorite running bunny. My goal is to make you feel good about your workouts. This week you’ll focus on getting comfortable running at different speeds.

I’ve got one thing on my mind: That little yellow bird. He’s a slippery sucker. This week you’ll practice getting progressively faster during your workouts, teaching your body how to push through fatigue and finish strong.

That bad ol’ puddy tat will never catch me. He’s just too slow. This week you’ll learn how to fly higher. We’ll hit the hills, which will increase both strength and stamina for all of your short and long training sessions.

The thing you gotta know about me is I always give 110 percent, even when Bugs is getting all the attention. I’ve been training hard, and I’ve got a good feeling this time. This week you’ll take it to the track and see just how fast you can fly.

Grunt, growl, grumble. Taz may be an omnivore of few (err, no) words, but his effort speaks for itself. It’s time to run wild. This week won’t be easy. You’ll be pushing your pace and your mileage with sustained tempo workouts, training your body to run faster, longer.

Wile E. Coyote knows what it’s like to be so close to reaching a goal. If you hit a wall, now is the time to power past it. This week you’ll face your fastest and farthest workouts, to prepare yourself for next week’s big finale.

Congratulations! You’re in the home stretch. You’ve even outpaced Wile E. You’ve put in the miles, done the workouts and kept your head on straight throughout. Prepare yourself for a new level of speed. Beep Beep.
