Innovative baseball products developed exclusively for Japanese high school athletes debut in January 2012.
The Nike SHA|DO collection includes Nike Fly Leather J Elite SHA|DO (cleats) and Nike SHA|DO Elite J (gloves) among others, helping players striving every day for the top position in high school baseball, with products armed with innovations developed and adapted specifically for baseball Bukatsu players (Japanese high school players). Nike Japan has announced it will launch a new baseball product line “SHA|DO” in January 2012.
Nike has not only offered a number of innovative products but also expressed and given voice to the charm of a sport, of athletes and products in a variety of ways. The soon-to-be-released SHA|DO collection comprises completely new products for players who want to win in the stage of high school baseball. The name SHA|DO (“SHA” for Gratitude and “DO” for Way in Japanese) speaks to the spirit of always playing with a sense of gratitude, as well as the message that the skills horned during the three years in high school are the result of everyday practices from dawn to late night, i.e., behind-the-scenes (shadow) efforts.
The new collection SHA|DO brings to life Nike’s innovations including Flywire technology (cleats) and Moist Clutch LPS (gloves) to support players committed to winning.
NIKE FLY LEATHER J ELITE SHA|DO
Nike’s Proprietary Flywire Technology Offers Great Fit Support: the outsole of the Nike Fly Leather J Elite SHA|DO uses the leather sole, the most trusted sole among bukatsu players, and Nike’s proprietary traction system that maximizes a player’s potential at base running. The cleats are developed specifically to maximize the traction and agility required for baseball specific moves. Made of premium high-grade leather that is super lightweight as well as flexible, the upper now features the highly supportive Flywire technology to fit feet of all shapes.
NIKE SHA|DO ELITE J
Nike’s Proprietary Antislip Moist Clutch LPS Material Prevents Shifting and Slipping Inside the Glove: the Nike SHA|DO Elite J boasts great maneuverability developed specifically for bukatsu players. It is the first glove in the industry to feature the new material “Moist Clutch LPS” which powerfully dispels moisture, thus offering the glove a greater control. Any unnecessary parts have also been removed from the area around the thumb, which plays a crucial role in fielding, and making the glove even more maneuverable and lightweight. The manufacturing mold was newly developed to provide the flexibility to field any balls, enabling expansion and adjustment of the ball-catching area, depending on the position of the player.
Nike Pro Combat Compression
Long Sleeve Mock Top 2.0
Flat Seam Realizes a Comfortable Fit: the Dri-Fit material quickly absorbs and dries sweat while the four-way stretch fabric provides greater fit on the body. The flat seam finish mitigates chaffing on the skin while Japanese sizing offers greater compression. Everything from the sleeve length to chest circumference has been customized to maximize performance and offer comfort. Featuring a tonal logo, it is also wearable in official high school baseball games.
