This KOBE A.D. DeRozan PE is inspired by DeMar DeRozan's memory of watching Kobe Bryant play against Utah in the 1997 playoffs. Bryant's "airball game" taught the legend how to deal with adversity and showed DeRozan that resilience was key to success on court.
The date of the memory, May 12, 1997, is featured on the shoe's lace tips. A picture of the street that DeRozan grew up in Compton is featured on the sockliner. Finally, the Kobe logo, DNA symbol and signature on the heel tabs follow the color scheme of Bryant's "airball game" opponent.
The shoe releases April 12 from SNKRS.

A cult favorite from Australia to France, the Nike Air Max Plus (popularly known as the TN, in reference to its tuned air) matched bold color with a brash stance on arrival in 1998. Since then, the shoe has carried both glorious color fades and muted tones. In both, the strength of the silhouette is undeniable. In latest incarnation, for NikeLab, the Air Max Plus sheds its typical plastic toe bumper in favor of a heavy tumble, soft full-grain leather (balanced by a buffed leather heel overlay), but loses none of its tough appeal.
The NikeLab Air Max Plus is available starting April 25 on nike.com/nikelab and at select retailers.
